Steven Fowler

Steven Fowler is a trumpeter, composer, arranger, and educator. He has performed with many of the world’s most influential musicians, including as Reggie Workman, Charles Tolliver, George Cables, Billy Harper, Patience Higgins, Dj Jazzy Jay, Om'Mas Keith, Benny Golson and Winard Harper.

A passionate and tenacious musician, Steven is focused on the cultivation of his own compositions while simultaneously contributing to the preservation of American culture and its art forms.

Steven Fowler trained at The Juilliard School and The New School. He has received tutelage from masters including Wynton Marsalis, Jimmy Owens, Charles Tolliver, Kendall Briggs, Ray Drummond, Eddie Henderson and Joe Wilder. Steven is exceptionally versed in composition, arranging, and trumpet playing. He is comfortable teaching, composing, and performing in many realms of music, including classical, jazz and R&B.
