Elena Urioste

Violinist Elena Urioste, a BBC New Generation Artist (2012-14) and first-place laureate of the Sphinx Competition, has given acclaimed performances with major orchestras internationally including the Philadelphia, Cleveland and Minnesota Orchestras; LA and New York Philharmonics; Boston Pops; the Chicago, National, Atlanta, Baltimore, Detroit, and Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestras; the London Philharmonic, Hallé, Philharmonia, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, Malaysia Philharmonic, and Chineke! Orchestras; and the BBC Symphony, BBC Philharmonic, and BBC NOW, among others. She has performed regularly as a featured soloist in Carnegie Hall’s Stern Auditorium and given recitals in such distinguished venues as the Wigmore Hall, Weill Recital Hall, Kennedy Center, Konzerthaus Berlin, Sage Gateshead, Bayerischer Rundfunk Munich, and the Mondavi Center. She has performed at the Marlboro, Ravinia, Prussia Cove, La Jolla, Bridgehampton, and Sarasota music festivals, and graduated from the Curtis Institute and the Juilliard School. Elena is a co-founder of Intermission, as well as the founder and artistic director of Chamber Music by the Sea.
